Not much to report

But, this weekend we went home searching. Out of 5 homes we only liked one. This coming weekend we have some more lined up to check out, so i hope we have better luck this weekend :)

The Girls: Brittany and Leann are really starting to go #2 on the potty. Its a big step for them. They are also getting better w/ going to the bathroom themselves w/o mommy's help. They get on and off the toilet, wipe themselves and pull their pants off and back on all by themselves (they always kinda could, but wanted mommy to do it for them). I'm so proud of them and it helps me out too when i'm in the middle of feeding anthony or doing some sort of cleaning.

Anthony: Nothing too much to report. We broke out the new walker/riding toy he got for xmas and he's managing to pull himself up and attempt to walk and hold on to the toy. He's doing really good with that. I really have to watch him now because he scoots to wherever. I put him down by the table, run in the kitchen, come back out to him by the wall trying to stand up. LOL He waves hi or bye, he likes to play peek-a-boo, and LOVES to yank on the girls hair or shirts! LOL

50 things about myself

I thought to myself, if Amy can come up with 100 things about herself, then i should be able to do the same, right? WRONG..i changed it a little. So instead of 100 things about myself, how about 50. Will that do?

Here i go..
1. When I returned back from my very first trip to California to be with Brian, i knew he was "THE ONE".
2. My daughters were planned, well the pregnancy was planned you can't really "plan" twins. LOL
3. We tried an entire year
4. The night my girls were conceived i had some advice from a friend..And IT WORKED :)
5. Anthony was not planned, although i had serious baby fever.
6. I found out i was pregnant with Anthony at an ultrasound visit for something else.
7. I love mini-vans, call me crazy, but i have 3 kids and need a vehicle with room.
8. My guilty pleasure is watching INTERVENTION on A&E.
9. I am a junk food junkie, i could eat McDonald's every day if i had the money to do so.
10. I am a big worry wart.
11. My biggest fear is death, yet can't seem to quit smoking.
12. The complete opposite of my sister, i LOVE to cook, don't really have a desire to bake.
13. I am my sister's personal shopper. When she is looking for new clothes, i must go with her, only i will tell her the gods honest truth with clothes.
14. One annoying question: "How can you tell your daughter's apart?" What the hell..they are my daughters, i know who is who!
15. Another annoying question i get alot: "How do you stay so skinny?" Are you kidding me? I have 3 kids, two of them are toddlers and keep me on my toes!
16. I am a virgo
17. I am Italian
18. I come from a loud family, therefore that makes me loud like the them.
19. I have 3 kids, my place isn't always in order, spic-n-span as it should, get over it, its lived in and cleaned to the best that i can by myself.
20. Watch your step when entering the Mattoi House, you will step on some toy or cheerios.
21. I know this is a BIG no-no, but every night i put my girls to sleep, i have to lay w/ them.
22. I hate to cry in front of my family, i will do whatever i can to hold in my tears.
23. Don't have issues crying in front of others...strange..
24. I am not a drinker, but thanks to my sister-in-law, i have a new found love for wine.
25. I love coffee, especially Dunkin Donuts.
26. I am a card person, one thing that really gets me is people who don't give cards, its understandable if you can not afford a gift, a gift is not what is important to me, its the card, it shows acknowledgement. Ask my husband, he found out the hard way one year. LOL
27. I hate cats
28. I am really blunt, if you ask me for my opinion or talk to me about something, expect that i will give you the most honest answer wether you like it or not.
29. I've always wanted the blue colored contacts.
30. I was boy crazy at 12.
31. Wow, ok so this is getting a tad bit harder.
32. My children go to a Russian based day care.
33. No they don't come home speaking Russian, but will come home germ free.
34. I have a hard time making friends w/ other girls, that is why i only have 2 very close girl friends (besides my sister) who know the real me.
35. I can't wait to get a house so that i can work on changing my schedule around that allows me to be home more with the kids.
36. I hate to be confined to the house w/ the kids, if its nice out, not raining, i'm out with the kids.
37. I have road rage.
38. Like my sister, i too believe once you hit a certain age, they should make it the law to get re-test for your license to drive.
39. If your doing below the speed limit, if i can't pass you, i will tailgate you (without my kids in the car).
40. I am a shop-a-holic!
41. My favorite store is Walmart! The deals you just can't beat!
42. I wear makeup daily. I feel naked and ugly w/o it.
43. Wash is a daily chore in the Mattoi house. If i'm not washing, i'm folding or putting away.
44. I talk better then i write.
45. Never went to college, do i regret it? Nope!
46. I don't understand home schooling. Why make your kids hermits? They need socialization in life, its important.
47. I am a schedule nazi.
48. I am always on time, never late, always early.
49. I can't stand hugs and kisses from others, i tense up, freeze, break out in cold sweats. The only kisses and hugs i like are from my husband and kids.
50. And go figure i married into the biggest huggy, kissy family!

Ok wow, that took a while to do and that was only 50! Enjoy!

A perfect night for a walk

After picking my *covered in dirt* children up from school, my friend Angela called me to see when i was taking the kids for a walk b/c she was going to join us w/ Gina. And i'm glad she did, it was fun, my girls love Gina, they couldn't wait to go walking w/ her. For an hour we walked around, i think about 45 minutes of it, was brittany pushing Gina in her buggy LOL, then we had Gina pushing Anthony in the stroller, it was like a night of buggy rides by the kids LOL.

That hour of walking was worthit, and fun, all the kids get along great! Got home, all got baths and to bed they went, and slept through the night. WE ARE DOING THIS AGAIN ANGELA! LOL

9 month check up

I trucked myself and 3 kids to the dr.'s this morning for Anthony's 9 month well visit and he's doing GREAT! Other then him not crawling, he's doing everything he's supposed to be doing, and he's in the 75th percentile for his height and HEAD! I started to laugh b/c the pediatrician looked amazed at what she was reading on the charts and like always i say, "Have you seen his father?" Because really, people look at him like he's this big baby, which, really he's not all that big, but then they look at Brian and then see why he's big. LOL But he's healthy and that's all that matters to me!
When the question was brought up about the crawling, i said he wasn't, but all he wants to do is stand up or you hold his little hands while he walks. The dr. was fine w/ that. I think he'll walk before he crawls, maybe by his first birthday? Who knows. But i'm in no rush for him to grow up so fast b/c he is my baby...my momma's boy as others call him :)

We're Approved!

Just got the call this morning (i really wasn't expecting it until Thursday) that we are approved :) !!!

Now i'm really excited!

Reporting

I am proud to report my baby has finally figured out how to hold on to the crib bars and pull himself up to a standing position. As i clapped in joy that he figured it out, i now need to talk to brian about lowering the crib b/c he inches over the side like he wants to dive out, well we can't have that, can we. So its time to lower it.
*tear-ting* He's growing to fast for me, i still want to hold him, he doesn't want to be held, he wants to go WHEREVER the girls go. Lastnight my mother in-law came over for a visit and the girls were being silly running all over the place and she's trying to sit w/ anthony, nope, he wanted to GO, so she held his arms as he walked to them. It was really cute, kinda like "hey guys wait for me!"
Just had to share with you all. Enjoy another beautiful spring day!

And the search is on..

..for a home. We've decided over this past week that we need to buckle down and really look for a home. Where we rent now is becoming a not so friendly atmosphere, along w/ more charges that keep getting higher and higher. With what we are paying a month to rent a 2 bedroom crammed apartment, we can afford something bigger and own it and give our kids their own rooms!
So wish us luck, we have our first appointment this Saturday to look at quite a few homes :)

And...we're OFF..slowly..but...WE'RE OFF...

So a little Anthony tid-bid...Anthony wants to GO, but can't, everytime i try to get his legs up to help him craw, he doesn't want me touching him (thanks to his sisters) and just stiffins up. So i just kinda let him do his thing and really, he hates to be on his stomach. So we like to stand, STAND, STAND! Now as he's standing, he likes to turn to you and attempt walking to you..but forgets that he has to move his legs to walk to me and just falls, he cries and tries again. Now just yesterday he actually MOVED his legs and came to me, i made a big HOORAY, clapped, you know the whole nine yards and since then has been trying ever since. I really believe he's going to be one of those babies that just skip crawling and go right to walking. We decided that a walker might be best for him, maybe this will help him to get those legs going, b/c that is what he wants to do. No more of the hold me, cuddle w/ me..he wants to GO.

Another new thing he has figured out how to sit up from laying down and scoots to the edge of the crib and is now attempting to stand up in his crib. GREAT...now we're going to have to lower the crib soon! I can see it now, he'll be in a toddler bed by a yr and a half w/ the rate we're going, he might follow in the girls footsteps and climb out of bed. LOL
Well i think that is all for today!

A Jenna Morning

When i leave Amy's house without hugs or kisses from Jenna (b/c she doesn't want to give any) this is what usually happens. As i was driving to work i received this picture message.

I think she was waiting for me to come back LOL

And then we have the cutesy smile, she loves the camera!

The new thing must be to just stick the tongue out, below Leann. Can't get the girl to smile LOL

Had to get one w/ Anthony! he loves the camera too!

Another Busy Weekend!

Wow i think i'm starting to sound like Angela. Last year at this time the girl was busy every weekend w/ events, i guess this year is my year w/ events, huh! LOL

Friday Night List:
Go home, feed and bathe all 3 kids
Break out the tub-o-clothes and search for spring/summer outfits for Anthony, wash, and put away.
Pack bag for swimming tomorrow
Pack bag for playdate at Amy's tomorrow
Try and do some of my own wash (where i will fit that in is beyond me, but i'll make it happen)
Put the kids to bed
Break and have a glass of wine to relax

Saturday is swimming w/ the girls, can't wait, they love to swim and this time we'll get to swim w/ Gina and Aunt Angela, the girls get excited knowing that Gina will be there swimming too. Then after swimming its back to my place to pick up Anthony and head to Amy's for another Lazy Mommy Playdate w/ Amy, Jenna, our friend Joanne and her son Seven and Amy's friend Sondra, her sister and their kids. Its an all day affair! Whoa, Amy's house is going to be packed w/ kids! LOL But she's lucky, she has a playroom all the kids can go in and play. Its fun, we wear our bummy clothes, eat, play w/ the kids, eat some more, play some more, gossip. Its a fun time!

Last but not least...Sunday...I have a baby shower to go to, actually both Brian and I do, its a coed shower. Shall be fun and relaxing. My mother-in-law will sit w/ the kids, so we'll get a nice break, then after the shower, Brian and I are planning to go to the gym, work out for a bit, then we'll pick up the kids.

So, there you have it, my BUSY weekend. And of course it will fly by, like they always do.

Have a great weekend everyone!

HOLD ON I'M NOT READY TO BREAK OUT THE T-SHIRTS!

Another warm day here in PA and looks like i need to get my butt into gear w/ making sure the kids have the appropriate attire for outside play. Getting the kids ready this morning for school, the girls have some short sleeve shirts, so i was ok w/ them, but Anthony, although i was given a TON of clothes for him, i haven't had the time to go thru the spring/summer stuff, well i guess i'm forced too now. I went thru the tub-o-clothes given to me by my friends Joanne and Heather this morning to hopefully find a decent t-shirt for Anthony, and yep, i found one, nice yellow one, looks brand new, like never worn, so i thought, well as much as i wanted to wash these before Anthony wore them, i was desperate and i trust where these clothes come from so, ON THE SHIRT WENT. And wow, it fit him so nice! Look at the tag and HOLY CRAP 18 MONTHS!!! WOW. No, my boy is not fat, he's very solid actually, but he's tall. I say by the time he's 5, he'll be taller then mommy at the rate we're going.
So this ends my short little morning blog. I hope everyone enjoys their Friday!

Well this is a first

It is complete torchure to leave anyone's home w/ my girls. They never want to leave, well really its Brittany that doesn't want to leave. I deal w/ the kicking, screaming, crying, its not fun, and even when i'm by myself. It has gotten to the point of not wanting to take them anywhere by myself b/c of what i have to deal with when we try and leave, then the ride home is just torchure! But i can't keep them in the house 24/7. I decided last weekend to sit down and have a talk w/ them about when its time to leave and how important it is for mommy to get home b/c we have to either put Anthony to night-night or i have things that i have to do at home, etc. Their response was "OK MOM". YEAH RIGHT, so i thought. Last Saturday after a full day of playing outside at Grammy and Poppy's it was time to go and WOW did my girls SHOCK ME! No crying, none of that, they were big girls and gave my parents kisses and hugs (about 50 of them) goodbye and in the car we went home. Because they did SO WELL with leaving, i decided to reward them w/ a snack. Hey, whatever it takes right? Fast forward to lastnight, Amy sat w/ the kids while i went and signed up at the gym. Prior to Amy getting at her house, i had another talk w/ them about the importance of leaving quietly and cooperating w/ mommy and i got the same answer from Brittany, "OK MOM" and Leann's response was, "WE'RE NOT GOING HOME YET?" LOL. And if all went well they were going to get their treat when we got home. Well that was a successful and RELIEVING night, they left happy and came home excited to get their treat. I think they are starting to understand me a little better and knowing that they get rewarded for good behavior is a perk.
I have to say now going out with 3 kids without my husband isn't such a battle anymore, well i hope it continues b/c it just makes mommy more pleasant when traveling w/ 3 kids LOL

A beautiful Spring Saturday!

Saturday was GORGEOUS! I skipped out on taking the girls swimming, they had lots of snots and coughs Friday night and being it was chilly saturday morning, they had a birthday party to go to on Sunday that i didn't want them to miss, so no swimming.
So 8am sharp we call Grammy V. to see if she'll be home so i can bring the kids over to play, of course she was, so off to Grammy's house we go. What beautiful weather, the kids played outside ALL day, even had Anthony out and he had a ball! And great weather to spring clean the truck, boy did it need it! I think i vaccumed up and entire box of cheerios *YICK*!

Some coffee and Jenna please!

So this post is dedicated to my cutest neice Jenna! A few mornings out of the week when i am able to, after getting the kids to school or not (pending brian's schedule), i like to hop on over to Amy's for some coffee and Jenna! The first few times i went over in the morning Jenna just looks at me like i'm nuts because (A) i'm loud and (B) b/c its not even light out and why am i in her room waking her up. Well now, she's used to it and the mornings i am not there Amy tells me how she is yelling out for me. TOO CUTE! I feel bad b/c its not always easy for me to just pick up and go hang w/ Jenna, so my mornings w/ her are our time and i think she loves it. She wakes up, i pick out an outfit for her w/ matchy-matchy socks, i give her, her gummy vitamin, do her hair, and now i'm attempting to get her to go potty, but...that will take some time, she woke up completely dry, wanting to go potty, then i get in the bathroom and she tells me no LOL. I'll get her to go one of these morning. LOL So its a fun morning, of course i'm late to work, but i don't care, its my time w/ my JENNA!
So i can't wait for tomorrow morning!!

Possible New Tattoo

As you all know, Brian has a tattoo that pretty much covers his entire left arm, its really coming together. Monday night he came home and showed me more and wow, it looks like a pretty decent tattoo. He really has been bugging me to get a tattoo, on my back. At first i said NO, NO WAY, i have my 4 and that is it, maybe down the road i'll get them re-colored...then i was bored at work and just started to look around and differant back tattoos. I found one that is kinda growing on me (minus the flower part), check it out!

I'm still thinking about it, i'm not going to jump on this right away. I showed a friend at work here and she suggested before i get the real thing, to maybe get this as a henna tattoo first, let it grow on me, or not.

I'm crazy, i know.

Kid Pics

I am finally able to post these pictures. About 2 months ago, i took the kids to get professional pictures done of them. It was a stressful day for mommy, but the photographer was great and was able to get some good ones of the kids. Below are some of my favorites.
