When my mother put the "MOTHER'S CURSE" on me, she REALLY cursed me!! I mean really, can Brian and I get a full 7 hours of sleep without being woken up to have a bottle, lay w/ one of the girls in their bed or OURS, 3am screams because my foot is hanging off the bed. Yes, you can say i'm a tad annoyed, mainly b/c I'M SO GOSH DARN TIRED!
By the time the girls reached 1, they were sleeping thru the night, no wake ups. Anthony, COMPLETELY DIFFERANT. I put him to bed by 8:30, if i can, and he'll wake up hungry at 1am, or 2am, then he sometimes wants to stay up and play. AIN'T HAPPENING! LOL Lastnight, i tried something differant, i decided to give him oatmeal about 7:15pm, he was so cranky and tired by 8pm, i just gave him some milk and he passed right out. I prayed that he would sleep thru the night, PLEASE JUST SLEEP!! And he did!! :) Darn right, i'll be trying that again tonight. LOL But.....i still didn't get a full night sleep, because Brittany decided to come in our room oh about 2:30am to get me to lay w/ her..which i didn't, ended up a full on temper tantrum, leading to her passing out on the couch, only to wake up about an hour later to go potty.
Will this ever end? I hope it does, maybe when all the kids have their own rooms? Can i be so lucky? LOL
Now excuse me while i go pour myself another cup of coffee.

Steph - I bet the park the night before helped him sleep better as well...expose them to outside air..it makes them more tired...I do so much outside time with the kids that it makes me tired but I bet I am close to one of the only moms that can get both kids down to sleep by 8:30 and I get to sleep in on the weekends until at least 8 sometimes even 9! LOVE IT! It will pass..TJ woke up once a night at least until he was I swear almost 2! Jack is totally different...never hardly ever gets up!
Actually, i have the kids outside all the time, plus, on school days, they are outside all day. The night that we went to the park, that was another night he was up as well LOL.
Same as you, i have no issue getting my kids to bed on time, i am such a schedule nazi, its just them waking up in the middle of the night! my gosh, i hope it stops SOON! LOL
Just my 2 cents - some kids just are hungry a lot, I don't think it has anything to do with the outside play - unless it's with water, that ALWAYS wears them out!
Steph - if you remember, we gave Jenna cereal at night before she went to bed too!! Full bellys = full night's sleep! LOL! LOL!
It could be a stage still that Brit is so used to getting up in the middle of the night and that's why she still does it. You might have to get creative with it...what, I have NO idea! LMAO!
He just misses his Mommy and Daddy during the middle of the night...Okay not what you probably wanted to hear but yeah hopefully it will stop soon.
Angela, your so funny, he misses his mommy and daddy HAAA
Well this better stop by the time the kids hit kindergarten LMAO!
My kids are all about the food, aren't they...
Maybe it's a growth spurt..a lot times when babies grow they wake up for middle of the night feedings...now party time not sure about that...! LOL!
Well, you all know I don't have kids, but I will put in my 2 cents on "food" before bed.
You have to be carefull with that. Especially when they get older. It can cause them to have nightmares when they get to be about 5 or 6, and then they end up wetting the bed! And it can last with them their whole lives! I don't think you want a 15 year old son wetting the bed cause of nightmares!!!
Okay I have never heard of nightmares for kids because of eating before bed...TJ gets a snack everynight before bed and he sleeps like a log! It's sleep habits...TJ had terrible ones..up at least once a night asking for milk until he was like 2 and baby's go through spurts where they will wake up to eat because they are growing...the only thing my pediatrician has said eating before bed can cause is a fatty and well Steph and I both know our baby boys are anything but slender already! LOL! :-) Chunks and Chunks 2! LOL! My motto if my kid is hungry then I'll feed his ass....I wouldn't want to go hungry and neither will they...
Oh and 1 other tidbit if you don't have kids watch what you say because it will bite you in the ass once they are here and you are trying to "survive" parenthood...I have totally bitten myself in the butt numerous times from comments that started "well when I have kids I won't"....any other mommies with me on this one????
Yikes...and I thought it was bad when Seven wasn't sleeping thru the night at 2! LMAO! I hope you get SOME sleep!
